In Magento Admin section you can change the layout of the “products” page  (from the “manage categories” menu) but there is no option to change the  layout  of  the  “product” page.

I had to change the directory name of me magento installation for some reason. After that, the site did not load well (as it was expected). I now i had to change the base url in the admin section (configuration settings).

What if you want to add a custom menu item on the top menu of magento? It currently has to be either a static block or category.
